ABOUT
FIELD ELEMENTARY
Field Elementary is a small yet "mighty" school with an enrollment of approximately 275 students in grades TK4 through 5th. Our school offers a robust Dual Immersion program alongside traditional English classes, catering to the diverse linguistic needs of our community. Students at Field Elementary benefit from a well-rounded education that includes specialized classes in art, cooking, and gardening, nurturing their creativity and practical skills from a young age. Additionally, our 4th and 5th graders receive music instruction, further enriching their educational experience.
As a Leader in Me School, we place a strong emphasis on character development, fostering leadership qualities and good citizenship in our students. This focus helps to create a positive and respectful school culture where every student is encouraged to develop their unique talents and skills.
One of the standout features of Field Elementary is the close-knit community we cultivate. Our smaller size allows teachers to form strong, personal connections with both students and their families. These close relationships enable us to work together as a "school family," supporting each other in fostering a life-long love of learning. This collaborative environment ensures that each student receives the individual attention they need to thrive academically and personally.
Our commitment to excellence has earned us the unique distinction of being recognized as a "Quality School" in every neighborhood by the San Diego Unified School District. Furthermore, our dedication to promoting a healthy and active lifestyle has been acknowledged by the Alliance for a Healthier Generation, naming us one of "America's Healthiest Schools" for multiple years. This prestigious award highlights our ongoing efforts to provide a healthy, supportive environment for our students.
We are also proud to collaborate with the Sage Garden Project, an initiative that integrates gardening and nutritional education into our curriculum. This partnership enhances our gardening program, providing students with hands-on learning experiences that emphasize the importance of healthy eating and sustainable living.
Field Elementary is a place of numerous opportunities for enrichment and growth, making it a special place to be. We pride ourselves on being an inclusive community where all students are welcome to reach their personal and academic goals in a nurturing and empowering setting. At Field Elementary, we are dedicated to creating a supportive environment that inspires every child to succeed and flourish.
